Author Patricia Gilliam has certainly hit the Sci-Fi writing scene with a bang with this first book in the Hanneria series. Out of the Gray is an exciting read for young adults (YA) or older adults who enjoy an exciting trip to another era in the future. The main characters in this book find themselves thrown in the midst of a political war while they are teens and still finding themselves. These characters are great role models for teens in today's society. This story not only has a great story-line but has characters who, even though are on opposite sides of the struggle, stand up for their integrity.

I give this book a 5 star and suggest the reader get all four books that are currently available in this series at one time. The reader will want to finish up one book and start into the next immediately.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sci-fi story. It is action packed and draws the reader into the story from the first chapter till the last. It leaves the reader hungering for more. This author has four books in this series already published.
The author has a talent for using words that show such great description that the reader feels like they are in the midst of the struggle themselves. I just loved this author's style of writing.

I'm really happy you liked the books, Connie. They've been fun to write, and the best part is all the wonderful people I've gotten to meet and know because of them. I love this, and every day is something new. :)
