The Total Money Makeover revised 3rd edition, by popular host and author Dave Ramsey will leave the reader filled with encouragement for changing their current finances into a working plan. This book is filled with information on everything from creating a budget to setting up a back-up plan for the future. The reader will come away from this book with a sense of financial peace in the form of hope of becoming debt free.
Â
I checked at the local library for The Total Money Makeover but it was not available. They ordered it from another library for me. I was so into this book because of the encouragement and sense of hope that I found, that I went out and purchased my own copy to use as a constant reference. I find myself referring to it often. I loved that the book used scripture as reference. It is not just advice that I found in the book. I found a plan that is helping me to change the way I think when it comes to money and worldly items. The Total Money Makeover gives the reader a fresh new perspective on financial wants and needs. It gives the reader support and the tools needed to stay way from the “keeping up with the Jones†mentality.
Â
I give this book a 5 star and recommend it to everyone. In todays economy, we can all benefit from going back to the basics when it comes to financial security. Not just for today but for tomorrow and the day after as well. The retail price of this book is $24.99 but I purchased mine at OLLIES for $4.99. I am a note-taker so I suggest you have a pad, pen, checkbook, bills,  and bank statement on hand while reading this book.

I know his classes are offered in many non-profit organizations as well. We live in such a small area that I have never seen it here but I think it is great! It does cost for the classes though.
Have you been fortunate enough to be in one of the classes?
I bet your local library would have it. Make sure you will be able to benefit from it before you make the plunge to purchase. I had my library to order it for me before I bought my own copy.
I bet they offer the classes in Alanta too. That would be so great to be able to attend one of them but they do cost.
Have you ever been to any of the classes.
We've actually been through it three times--once not long after we got married, another time when our church offered it, and a third time for a refresher about a year ago. As you get to different steps, your focus changes--and things make more and more sense. For what we learned, I definitely think it was worth it.
I am curious, do you know if they used the book and the workbook that is available or did they attend one of his classes?
I have heard of many people who have attended classes and loved them. I live in such a small area that I feel sure it will never be available around here.
Have you read the book?
